Robot Diaries
|
Robot Diaries is an ACE funded project which will use VR technology to engage young people from Birmingham allowing them to experience the creative potential & possibilities of self-expression through VR. Several workshops will take place and together with groups of young people VR space populated by robot characters will be created. Participants will be given tasks to build an environment or use 3d assets to help/communicate with robots. A robot is a universal asset, without race, religion, language & purpose until we instill or don’t instill these things. These will be the considerations we need to make on an aesthetic & human-level whilst developing imagination, technical & design skills.

This VR experience invites the viewer to witness the metamorphosis of the “spirit dancer” which they enact through their own rhythm and movement. The audience observes dissolving sculptures that suddenly vibrate and disappear, thereby telling the story of the sense of the transience that accompanies the acts of change and creation.
